So many times we are hammered with payments, bill, debts, and etc. We sometimes forget what we are supposed to do with our finances. These things come up on us so fast we can really forget about the purpose of our finances. Finance is a tool that has to be mastered. We cannot let finances master us. Proverbs 22:7 say the poor are always ruled over by the rich, so don’t borrow and put yourself under their power. Have money coming in and out like water is an example if a person who has holes in their pocket. Don’t put yourself under the power of any man or finances. Here are there quick ways to master your finances:
- Budget – Habakkuk 2:2 – Having a budget shows you exactly where you are and how you much have. It is a road map for your financial success. When you have a plan you can run towards and accomplish it. Do you have a financial goal in mind? We have personal goals but most of us don’t have a financial goal.
- Count the cost – Proverbs 27:23 – All expenses must be accounted. Your money must have a name on it. If it does not, it will walk away with no purpose. So many times, money just walks away from us because we have no purpose at all for it. Yep, it has happened to me but I am careful to use the money what it is budgeted for.
- Understand your money on hand – Luke 14:28 – Before you start a project or a major renovations, you must know what you have. For if you start it and cannot finish it, people will mock you. Understand your money situation is a blessing not a curse. You now know what to work with!
Understand your finances and watch it grow over time.
