A promise is a commitment by someone to do or not to do something. It can be also enforced by a legally binding contract. Promises are more than words. It is a binding agreement of two parties. The Bible is a promise of a binding agreement between God and you. It also specifically states the consequences after each decision that you make. My purpose is to inform you that you have promises from God for your everyday life. Most of us think that we have to live life alone but that is not true. We have the freedom to do anything in God’s will. If we are in God’s will, we will have the best results for our life. Let’s look at some of God’s promises.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. If we seek God’s will for our life, he will give us everything that we need, nothing lacking.
Romans 8:28: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose. God has his best plans for us. We don’t necessarily know our plans but he knows for sure. He only asks that you love him.
Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God knew your plans before you were born. He knew you would be right here, right now in this position. He is a loving God – so he is going to prosper you in that place right now and your hope and future has been secured.
Phil 4:19: And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Your needs are already met.
Psalm 107:20: He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. You are already healed of any disease – just repeat God’s promises to him.
Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Jesus says the poor will always be with you. So if they are with you, we are to help them in whatever way that we can. In doing so, we will reap the blessings of the Lord
