You are on earth for ministry. Your life on earth is to accomplish the mission that God has given you. The word ministry is usually reserved for someone with religious duties. Ministry is not just a word for the religious. Service, helping, aiding, teaching, and assisting are all examples of ministry. There are different professions that provide ministry every day. For example, teachers provide ministry by educating. Lawyers provide ministry by assisting those who are in legal need. Engineers provide ministry by creating, designing and manufacturing ideas and concepts for people that will enhance their quality of life. So ministry is more than a religious duty; it is a way of life. Ministry must serve people. For example, keeping all the money in the world will not do anything for you; it is what you do with your money. Similarly, if I am a great teacher or writer, not showcasing my gift would be tragic because it is not helping anyone but me. Secondly, your ministry skills and talents are so unique that no one can copy them. I cannot do what you do. Ministry happens once you begin to implement the plans and processes. God has laid out your path and future. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
