And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2).
 As the economy is coming out of the recession, you will begin to hear to change your habits. Change the way to spend, change the way that you save, change the way that you do things.  The news will say it is okay for you to buy on credit, it is ok to compile more debt.  I like to offer a simple solution. Resist the ploy.
 We are told that we are not to be conformed of this world. This means that the system of the world is not that same system that we should participate in.  The system that put us in the world’s recession is the same one that is trying to bring us out. Do we change our course just because the position has changed? Just because we are told by the newsmakers to do this does not make it right.
 Be transformed by renewing your mind differently from the world’s perspective.  Do things that are totally opposite of what we are told to do. Don’t go along with the world’s system. Besides it was the one that got us in trouble in the first place.  We must realize the kingdom that we are in is totally different from God’s kingdom. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you Matthew 6:33)”. Seeking God’s kingdom will give you greater benefits than man. Seeking God’s kingdom will lead to a transformation of the mind. That transformation will lead to peace. The transformation will lead to the true purpose of your particular will in God.  So in closing, a recession should not affect the son or daughter of God because we are told not to be conformed to this world. If we are not conformed to this world, we will receive the things of God to stay the course to get into his perfect will.
