Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors (Proverbs 8:34).

There are times in our life that that God allows open doors. The open doors of opportunities are called gates. A gate is a swinging door used to swing into a passageway.  What gate does God need to open for you? What door of opportunity do you need? Let’s face it; he is the only one that can open it for us. We can’t open the door ourselves. We can work to do it ourselves but what is the point. The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10: 22). Another version says, When the LORD blesses you with riches, you have nothing to regret (Proverbs 10:22 CEV). When God opens the gate to you, it is for you. You don’t have to struggle to get in.

Walking through the gates is probably one of the most difficult acts for some. Most of us including me like to walk right into the gates but the secret here is hearing and waiting on God. I know this is unconventional, but the world have us to believe that we can take the American dream by storm by working long hours, sacrificing family time, and spending money.  However in Proverbs 8:34, the scripture states that a man become bless if he hears me. The “me” is the wisdom of God. It all starts with the wisdom of God which is given to you by God himself in the form of the Holy Spirit. So I need to ask you a question, how is your hearing? Hearing is a fundamental requirement prior to walking through the gates.  When we hear, we avert trouble. When we hear, we see the danger come and when we hear, we can ensure that we become blessed by God. If you can’t hear, ask God to come into your life through the person of Jesus Christ.

Prayer   – Father, I thank you that I am about to walk through the gate. I thank you for the blessing of what is getting ready to happen.  I will hear, watch, and wait until you open the door of the opportunity. Once you open the door, I will walk in boldly to clam the blessing. In Jesus name, Amen.
